Actually, I was Microsoft Free, meaning that I did not own a computer with a Microsoft
operating system, for 10 years between 1993 and 2003. Between HP's MPE, IBM's OS/2
and Linux I was able to fill all my computing needs for all of that time. Windows XP
is the first consumer version of Windows that has acceptable reliability for me.
